=== Notes on uninstalling

The PlantStudio installation program installs no DLLs or other modules. You can uninstall PlantStudio using the Add/Remove Programs item in the Control Panel or by running the Uninstall program in the PlantStudio group. Before you uninstall PlantStudio you should back up any files in the PlantStudio directory you made changes to that you want to keep. Any files you add to the PlantStudiodirectory will not be removed by the uninstaller. A PlantStudio2.ini file with registration information will remain in the Windows directory. If you delete this file you will lose your registration information. The PlantStudio installation program adds information to the Uninstall folder in the Registry, but PlantStudio itself does not modify the Windows Registry when it runs.

You can also just delete the PlantStudio directory and any shortcuts yourself; however, this will leave some information in the Uninstall folder in the Registry (search for "PlantStudio") which you have to delete yourself.

=== Notes on installing over a previous version of PlantStudio

You do not have to uninstall your PlantStudio 1.x version (though you will probably want to after you verify that PS2 is working fine for you). This PlantStudio 2.10 version will install to a new directory, PlantStudio2, and will install all new files. It will not change any of your existing PlantStudio files if you have already installed PlantStudio 1.x. If you have installed a beta or final version of PlantStudio 2.0 or 2.01, we suggest you uninstall the previous beta copy before installing this version.

=== Notes on file format compatibility

While PlantStudio 2.0 files can be read by PlantStudio 1.x, some information will be lost if you open PS2 files in PlantStudio 1.x and save them there.
